local and global

There are many, many people from Redeemer that are serving in many forms of missions – both locally & globally.  Most of these are through relationships, career contacts or organizations that we don’t have formal partnerships with.  We celebrate and encourage that.  However, we also have established formal partnerships to help you engage the world.

Locally speaking, we have established a couple of partnerships to encourage you to be a redemptive force in Johnson City.  Those partnerships are with LXI (www.moveLXI.com) and Young Life (www.younglife.org).  LXI is a local ministry to bring the Gospel to at-risk kids in low-income housing in Johnson City.  We praise God that many people from Redeemer are serving these kids and bringing them to our Sunday morning gathering.  Our partnership with Young Life is local as well (Young Life itself is internationally established), but has the purpose of reaching high school students through relationally engaging them with the Gospel.  If you are interested in learning more about either ministry, please email Jeff Martin for more information.

We also have global partnerships with an orphanage (Fundaniños) and an Acts 29 Network church (Casa De Libertad) in Guatemala City, Guatemala.  Many times a year, we lead teams from Redeemer on trips to serve these two organizations.  Like Redeemer, Casa De Libertad has a vision to plant Gospel-Centered churches in Guatemala and around the world.  We hope that our work to serve these people will help them impact central America with the Gospel.  If you are interested in one of these trips, don’t hesitate to contact Jeff Martin.
