Newcomer FAQs
Do you offer anything for kids?
Our service is socially-relaxed but spiritually-serious. Our messages present Christ in a conversational style with relevant and practical application so that you can live for God everyday.
Comfortably! People wear everything from shorts and jeans to dresses and button-down shirts. But we want you to come as you are and be yourself. This means that if you can connect with God more easily in your blue jeans then slap on your Levis. It also means that if something more formal helps you focus and prepare for worship – then wear it! Our focus is not on who wears what but whether people are connecting with God and with others.
No, you will not. We welcome newcomers and tell them how to connect during our announcements but do not ask them to stand nor introduce themselves.
We do offer classes for nursery & preschool (& occasionally elementary). After a time of worshipping together (15-25 minutes), we send the children to their classes to have a Bible-based lesson of their own. We'll give you more details on how to check-in and check-out your children when you show up. Click here to find out more about our ministry to these kids. Outside of Sunday mornings, we offer a ministry to students (grades 6-12). Click here to learn more.
We are not affiliated with a denomination nor a particular style of church. Just like you, we’re utterly unique! Although we a part of a network of new churches called the Acts 29 Network, we simply see ourselves as a missional community of Jesus-followers who share life together and want to connect our community to God.
We are a relational church. So, the best way to connect is to offer your hand to someone in friendship, encourage them and perhaps go out to lunch with them. You can also ask about joining one of our fellowship parties or our small groups when you come.
However, there are two specific ways that we help newcomers connect. First, when you attend Redeemer you can sign-up for our church's online community called "The City." On the City, you can also get the latest news, events and announcements. To do so, simply enter your email address on one of our computers when you come to our Sunday gathering. Second, every other month we host a free newcomers lunch after our Sunday morning gathering for attenders to hear about the mission and heart of Redeemer. To let us know that you'd like to come, contact us at redeemercommunity@gmail.com.
